Joe Licata was a perfect 5 for 5 on Buffalo's opening drive hitting three different receivers. The 15 play 75 yard drive took almost 10 minutes off the clock, trying to keep Bowling Green "Falcon Fast" offense off the field. Anthone Taylor anchored the ground carried the ball 9 times for 29 yards. It was Licata who ran the ball in on 4th down from a half yard out. It was a drive of that say two third and one fourth down conversion, two of them came on the ground.

The Bulls defense had trouble dealing with Bowling Greens Shuffle pass on the second drive. Twice the Falcons found a lot of space with a short pass to the Travis Green. Green took a sweep to the short side of the field to match UB's score. While UB took 10 minutes to drive 75 yards the Falcons needed only about three minutes to even the score.

UB's next drive started with a great seven yard hitch to Willoughby but a run for loss by Taylor and Licata sack brought their second possession to a grinding halt. Bowling green has responded with a trick play to bring the ball into UB's redzone.
