2010 Highlights: After walking on and redshirting in 2009, Johnson played in 10 games recording 3 tackles.

2011 Highlights: With the departure of Davonte Shannon, Domonic Cook, Josh Thomas and Sherrod Lott, Najja earned both a scholarship and a starting role. Johnson started all 12 games, recording 39 tackles, 1 interception and was tied for 14th in the nation with 16 passes defended.

2012 Highlights: Najja Again starting all 12 games, Najja continued to stand out as one of the best corners in the MAC. First, Najja led the Bulls as they played at Georgia where the Bulls were one of 3 teams (South Carolina, Florida) to hold Aaron Murray to under 60% passing completion and under 260 yards passing. Johnson recorded 43 tackles, 5 interceptions and 11 passes defended. Najja was named 2nd team All-MAC on Phil Steele's Postseason awards list.

2013 Outlook: Going into his 3rd year as a starter, Najja was named to Phil Steele's Preseason 1st team. With one of the most anticipated defensive units since 2008, Najja and Lester will be key in allowing UB to ramp up the pressure on the opposition.

Nickname (I Just Made Up): "Prodigal" Najja was born in Buffalo but moved to Georgia at 2. His father attended Buff State and his mother attended UB.

Record Watch: With 6 Interceptions Najja is 4 interceptions away from 10th place in UB history and 13 away from 1st. (13 interceptions would tie Najja with Steve Nappo for most interceptions in a single season.) With 27 passes defended, Najja is currently 9th all time and 12 away from surpassing Gemara Williams record set in 2005.
