Swimming give us this weeks female athlete of the week
McCrea and Powers Named Athletes of the Week - Buffalo Athletics
Jessica Powers (Kalamazoo, MI/Kalamazoo Central) of the women's swimming and diving team swept the distance freestyle races in weekend meets at Bowling Green and Miami (OH). On Saturday, she posted a season-best time of 10:14.69 to win the 1,000-yard freestyle and took the 500-yard freestyle in 4:59.60. The next day, she won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 17:11.74 and later won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:03.44.
It was a mixed bag for the swimmers. The Women got knocked down Bowling Green but took their first conference loss at the hands of Miami. The Men in their only conference match downed Miami.
In out of conference play both teams lost to Michigan State out.
Swimmers Split Meets With RedHawks - Buffalo Athletics
The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished their weekend trip to Ohio by splitting meets against Mid-American Conference rival Miami (OH) at the Corwin Nixon Natatorium on Sunday. The UB men knocked off the host RedHawks, 175-124, while the UB women fell 177-120.
Wrestling Finally get a win.
Its been a hard injury riddled season for the wrestling team but their finally scratch out a win against Eastern Michigan.
Bulls Hold Off Eagles for Season's First Win - Buffalo Athletics
Last weekend was a frustrating one for the Buffalo wrestling team, with two of the three matches wrestled at the Virginia Duals being lost in the final bout of the match - heavyweight - to fall to 0-7 on the season. On Friday night, though, both monkeys were taken off UB's back and thrown to the mat, as the Bulls (1-7, 1-1 MAC) beat the Eastern Michigan Eagles (6-10, 0-2 MAC) 19-14 at Alumni Arena.
Womens Hoops Loses their first MAC game
Well the ride against the MAC's cellar had to come to an end and it did when UB took on a strong Toledo program.
Gritty Effort By The Bulls Fall Short At Toledo - Buffalo Athletics
The University at Buffalo women's basketball team hung tight with the defending MAC West champion Toledo Rockets on Saturday, but ultimately fell, 59-44, picking up its first conference defeat of the season. For the fourth straight game, the Buffalo defense allowed less than 60 points to its opponent.
They had the game knotted up at 35 but then faded against a very strong Toledo team.
3-1 is still a vast improvement over where UB was last season, UB has moved from the bottom of the pack to a middle rung team during their first season under Felisha Legette-Jack.
Track UB gets second of seven in the upstate challenge

Headlining the men's efforts was sprinter Miles Lewis. Lewis broke the UB men's record in winning the 60-meters in 6.76 seconds, eclipsing Ezekiel Porter's 2007 record by .01 seconds. Lewis also won the 200-meter in 21.56, .07 seconds off Porter's 2007 mark. Darien Johnson finished third in the 200-meters in 22.78 and fifth in the 60-meters in 6.92 for the Bulls.The women's relay teams also finished second. Crystal Graham, Beasley, Uwa Omorogbe and Camaria Long combined in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:57.47 while Jeanty, Gina Carnovale, Kyla Kenyon and Regine Lazard placed second in the 4x800-meter relay in 9:44.89.

Pollock and Kanzler Make College Sports Madness All-MAC Preseason Teams - Buffalo Athletics
After keying the Buffalo baseball team to its first-ever trip to the Mid-American Conference tournament, senior outfielders Matt Pollock and Jason Kanzler were named to the College Sports Madness preseason All-MAC teams. Pollock earned the first team nod after making the all-conference team last season, and Kanzler is on the second team.
