99 for 99 takes a look at the 99 biggest moments in UB Football history during this season, the 99th season of UB Football. These moments are not in any order, however the top 10 moments have been saved for last.
August 28, 2008 - Buffalo 42 - El Paso 17 - Drew Willy Throws 4 TD passes
After winning more FBS games than ever before in 2007, UB opened the season at home against Texas-El Paso. Drew Willy started the game on fire with 3 touchdown passes in the first 15:30 of the 2008 season. Willy hit Naaman Roosevelt, Bryan Kisabeth and Gary Rice as Buffalo took a 21-0 lead.
UTEP cut the lead to 21-17 late into the third when Drew Willy threw his fourth TD pass of the game, his second to Naaman Roosevelt to give Buffalo a 28-17 lead and effectively end the UTEP threat. Buffalo would go on to win 42-17, and Drew Willy set a UB FBS record and a UB Stadium record for TD passes in a game.
Only Marty Barrett (6) and Cliff Scott (5) have thrown more TD passes for UB in one game. Willy also broke the record for most career completions by a UB QB in the game.
