With the return of True Blue on Saturday, the Buffalo Bulls got back on track with a win over a good Ball State team. The win moved the Bulls back over .500 in conference play. This time around, the Bulls head to Toledo to face the Rockets and former recruit Nate Navigato. So let's cut to the chase and learn the basics of Toledo:
Head Coach: Tod Kowalczyk (233-198, 3rd year with Ball State)
Date/Time: 1/30/16, 7:00 PM
Opponent's Mascot: A Rocket
Current Record: 12-8 (3-4 MAC)
2014-15 Season Record: 20-13 (11-7 MAC)
Postseason: Did not receive/accept postseason bid
All-Time Series: Toledo leads 13-7
Opponent's Roster and Stats
Toledo has a very youthful team this year that's loaded with Freshmen. Despite the fact that they're young, many have expected them to continue to be one of the better teams in the conference. Nathan Boothe is the only Senior in the rotation and he leads the Rockets. Boothe shoots over 50% with almost 20 ppg and 9 rebounds per game. Overall, this team shoots pretty well and shouldn't be taken lightly. A lot of their points are generated off of assists as well.
- Lost to Oakland
- Won against North Carolina A&T (UB won against them)
- Lost to Ball State
Can We Win?
I think we can definitely steal a road win in this one. I think UB's depth could be a little too much for this freshman ladened Toledo team. Have Skeete guard Williams and I think we have a win coming our way.
