After a rough start to conference play against Bowling Green, Buffalo has now put in two lopsided wins.
Today Josh Mballa led the way with 19 points and 19 rebounds in their 86-69 win over Ball State. Mballa was one of five Buffalo players in double figures.
- Jayvon Graves added 16 points
- Ronaldo Segu scored 14
- Jeenathan Williams also netted 14
- Keishawn Brewton tallied 12.
The two teams traded leads 13 times in the first half, neither team managing to build more than a four point lead. With 1:31 Ball State was up 31-29 but a Graves dunk and a WIlliams jumper closed the scoring in the half to give Buffalo a 33-31 lead.
UB would not trail again in the game.
Ball State picked up their scoring, putting up 38 points in the second half but that was nowhere near the 58 dropped by Buffalo.
With the win UB is 2-1 and tied for third in the Mid American Conference (Bowling Green and Toledo are tied with 5-0 records). Buffalo’s next game is on the 12 versus Western Michigan.
