Not that it was ever in doubt but the NCAA has put any lingering doubts I had to rest when they published a 6 week “start up” procedure for football this fall.
The NCAA’s Football Oversight Committee has laid out a four-phase plan for upcoming football season.
- Voluntary workouts: June 1-25
- Mandatory workouts: July 13,
- Walk-throughs and meetings: July 24
- Preseason practices: Aug. 7

The plan is still subject to final approval from the Division I Council, they should get it in a bit more than a week.
