As you can see below, the odds have been revealed (via BetOnline) for the 2020 Heisman Trophy. Unsurprisingly Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is listed as the favorite but if you go not too far down the list Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson makes an appearance at 50/1 odds.

Patterson broke UB’s single season record in 2019, rushing for 1,799 yards while piling up 19 touchdowns. The Sophomore returns next year behind a mostly intact offensive line, a line projected to be one of the better units in college football by PFF.

If he’s to make a serious run at contention Patterson can lay the foundation in the early going of the season when Buffalo takes on Kansas State and Ohio State.

The last Bull to contend for national recognition, Khalil Mack, used a season opening game against the Buckeyes to grab the attention of voters.
