So far I’ve not seen any UB players in the transfer portal so it seems as of now that UB coach Jim Whitesell has done job number one, keep what we got. The returning talent at UB is enough to keep the school competitive in the MAC, and may even have them playing well enough to walk into Cleveland with a bye next season.
Job number two is trying to rebuild this years recruiting class. Both through “re-recruiting” players who decomitted and picking up new players to cover those who are not coming back.
Today UB offered Mika Adams-Woods.
Adams-Woods, a 6-foot-3 point guard, played hoops at the New Hampton School before verbally committing to Nebraska. But when Tim Miles was fired by the Cornhuskers he asked for and was granted his release.
He’s being courted strongly by George Mason, uMass, Buffalo, and Siena.
The point guard was a first-team Class AAA All-NEPSAC selection. During the 2018-2019 season he averaged 19 points, and shot an impressive 42 percent from the 3-point line.
