How He Came To Buffalo
Joey Banks was a start at San Francisco when Buffalo offered him a chance to transfer to the FBS. And why wouldn’t UB reach out to poach one of the colleges best defensive players, it worked out well for UB when they got after Khalil Hodge.
2018
In his first year at Buffalo the JUCO transfer started nine games and showed hints that he was a human highlight reel in the making.
He ended the year with had 41 tackles, an interception and six pass breakups.
2019
This season Banks is one of the most entertaining players on the team to watch, he has a high football IQ and a love for contact which combine for great highlights both breaking up passes and bringing down ball carriers.
He leads the Bulls in total tackles, solo tackles and interceptions.
