The Bulls past two opponents have both lost a QB before or early in the game and the UB defense made the backups pay the price. Because of that UB’s bowl picture has went from “Danger Will Robinson” to a place where they just need to take care of business in the last three weeks.
The Conference already has three bowl eligible teams and after tonight there will be two more sitting at five wins.
The MAC has five direct tie-ins this year. It’s looking like when all is said and done they will have six or seven eligible teams. Going 6-6 this season could mean a repeat of 2017, when a 6-6 UB team was left at home.
Kent, Toledo, and Bowling Green. If you win one you’re eligible and if you win two you’re almost certainly going bowling.
UB needs two of these game and while Toledo has looked more beatable this year then expected they still have the best overall record in the conference.
Then again Kent just gave Toledo everything they can handle, so let’s see if the Bulls can get one of the needed wins in the next game, at Kent State.
