Buffalo Rooting Interest

NCAA Football: Ball State at Indiana Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

So The Bulls have a bye-ish week and will sit home this weekend watching things play out. So who do we root for?

In the division:

First let’s focus on the MAC East and the race for the Division: The Bulls are one game ahead of Miami and Ohio, and we face the RedHawks next week.

Root for BSU over Ohio:

If the Cards win, and if UB wins on Tuesday they will in effect have a two game lead over the rest of the division, with three games left and two of those are against weaker MAC East Teams

For Detroit:

Right now WMU and NIU have a big lead in the west, who would you rather play?

Root for Toledo over WMU:

I think we stack up better against NIU than WMU.

For Access Bowl:

The loss to Army all but eliminates UB from the access bowl, unless total chaos envelops the other G5 teams ahead of us.

Houston over South Florida: We need South Florida to lose two more game and Houston to lose one more

SMU over Cincinnati: This would give the Bearcats two losses

Georgia Southern over App State: Right now the ‘eers are ranked #25, and have a single loss

Net Mexico over Utah State: Out west Utah State looks really good

Hawaii over Fresno State: The Bows have two losses and a win here would hang 2 on Fresno

Nevada over San Diego State: This would put loss number two on the Aztecs.
