The Good:
“Mr Anderson”... In the second half the announcers sounded like this!
Between Drew or Theo, tke your pick!
Theo Anderson was expected to get some playing time. With Johnathan Hawkins still out the third string back was backing up Emanuel Reed. 15 carried for 57 yards is not a sexy stat but his runs were key to helping restart a UB offense that seemed to run out of gas.
Then there is Drew Anderson. The out of nowhere backup that most Bull fans were hoping the would never see this season.
On the game thread when Tyree went down someone asked “Is Drew all we have” and I solemnly said yes. I expected our offense to go into a shell.
But Drew came into the game prepared to run the offense, and he showed superb touch and accuracy as he picked apart the FAU secondary. Seven of nine for for 109 yards and a touchdown.
The Bad:
The refs were horrid... Terrible spots all game long and inconsistent calls.
The Ugly:
UB’s tackling nearly gave the game away. I’ve been a staunch defender of the defense this year but they allowed a third down conversion and a fourth down conversion after getting to the ball before the first down marker on the same drive.
