Bulls down Central PA Knights

NCAA Basketball: Buffalo at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Not a lot to say in this one. It was set up as an early season tune up game and it played out exactly as one would expect.

Central Pennsylvania plays in the (USCAA) Division 2, which is probably on par with an NCAA Division III program. But with the Bulls down three players to injury and with the football team’s Dominic Johnson walking on over the weekend the practice was probably beneficial.

UB jumped all over the Knights with a 15-2 early run, capped by a McRae dunk. By the time the first half was over UB had amassed a 46-18 lead.

Central Penn played a better second half but even in that half were badly outclassed by UB.

The big stars for Buffalo were James Reese, who scored 18 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists. CJ Massinburg also kicked in 13 points and 11 rebounds.

And Dominic Johnson came in for sim minutes and scored two points to go along with two rebounds.

Next up for Buffalo is Robert Morris, on the 16th.
