Buffalo Bulls fall in a tight game with Akron

They seem to find a different way to break your heart every week. Don’t they?

Just when Tim Roberts ended a late Akron rive with an interception you allowed yourself to see UB snapping their three game losing streak. When the subsequent drive stalled and the Bulls pinned Akron down inside their own 10, you beleived the defense could hold.

When UB fell behind by one point and drove down the field for a late field goal try...

Well by then you were probably sure UB was going to lose, again.

Tyree Jackson playing for the first time since week three, and he played ok. He threw for a career-high 315 yards. His completions (34) and attempts (50) were also career highs. But an interception thrown into the end zone, along with a missed field goal later in the game, ended up being the difference.

This year is not like 2008, it’s like 2007. The Bulls are playing competitive games and for the most part coming out on the losing end. They now have no room to lose if they want to see the post season.

After losing to Akron and Miami there is no reason to think they will beat Ohio and Bowling Green. But November 7th well find out if they can make a go of it.
