Baseball: Buffalo Bulls downed by the Miami RedHawks

Charlie Sobieraski pitched six great innings but eventually Miami caught fire in the seventh. Their three runs were more than enough as the Bulls' bats failed to produce a run for the second game in a row.

Once again the Bulls struggled at the plate when they had runners in position. Once the Bulls had the bases loaded and another time when trying to rally UB got a man onto third. In each situation Buffalo came away with nothing to show for it.

A three run seventh by Miami chased Sobierask from the game.

After getting two runners out the RedHawks started their rally with a triple to deep right ccenter, followed by an RBI scoring single. A deep double to left center gave Miami runners on second and third and UB went to Logan Harasta in hopes they could limit the damage. Harasta threw a wild pitch and after recovering the ball catcher Kyle Brennan missed the throw to cover the plate. That allowed a pair of runs to score.

UB warps up the series with Miami tomorrow and are trying to avoid being swept in a conference series for the first time this year.
