Act like you've been here before... Because you have!

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

After a fantastic finish it's time to catch our breath and consider what comes next. Buffalo is dancing again and according to some their might be higher than expected.

Despite losing their coach and most every face from last years squad the Bulls, on a Blake Hamilton three point shot put down the Akron Zips 64-61. The Bulls are the first back to back MAC champions in more than a decade and the MAC's RPI is higher than it's been in years (10th).

So now we wait until tonight. Several conference are playing their title games on Sunday and that will shake the trees a bit. Where the fruits fall can shape our future The NCAA Tournament Selection Show starts at after those games, at 6PM eastern time. It's then that we will learn who the Bulls face and if Akron can sneak in an at large bid.

Buffalo took a while to get going this season and then there was the mid season hiccup during and just after the Bearden suspension. That cost us a lot of RPI  points. On the other hand the MAC is a top 10 RPI conference this year and we t finished with wins against Ohio (top 100) and Akron (top 50).

Akron went into the title game with an RPI of 29 and some top 25 votes. They may have been flirting with an 11 seed. Buffalo knocking them off may help the Bulls creep up higher than 13.

Update : 12:10 EDT

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Buffalo as a 12 seed, playing Arizona in the West Bracket. Despite the name that would put our opening game in Provence. That same location would also host the Stony Brook Purdue matchup which Lunardi has.

Jerry Palm over at CBS had Akron at a 12, playing against Texas in Denver. He has not yet updated his bracket to include the Buffalo win.

SB Nation's own Chris Dobbertean has Akron listed as a 13 and playing against Duke in Denver. Still no updates with today's results.

Bracket Project: The most recent Bracket Matrix update still has Akron at 12.

Yahoo:

I'm not sure if Yahoo is doing a real bracket, but they've got one fellow with Buffalo on the 13 line

Update : 12:32 EST

The Women's Tournament is slightly different than the Men's. The top 16 teams host the 1st and 2nd round games. As a result, seeds 1-4 will play at home, and seeds 13-16 will get a true road game rather than a neutral site game.

ESPN's Charlie Creme has UB as a 15 seed headed to Austin, Texas for SXSW a matchup with the 28-4 Longhorns. Women's

College Sports Madness has UB as a 13 seed traveling to 23-7 Kentucky.

Real Time RPI has UB as a 14 seed traveling to 24-8 UCLA.

We try to update this as the brackets change.
