Who is wearing #15 in 2015?
Jamarl Eiland
Hometown: Canton, Michigan
Year: Redshirt Sophomore
Position: Wide Receiver
High School: Plymouth
Freshman (2013): Eiland Redshirted
Redshirt Freshman (2014): Eiland caught 4 balls for 89 yards in 2014 and added 8 returns for 102 yards.
Outlook: Eiland at 5'10 will see competition for playing time with UAB transfer Collin Lisa who is also 5'10. Eiland returned two punts in the 2014 finale for 20 yards and he may have his biggest impact in 2015 as a punt returner. With Campbell set to graduate after 2015, Eiland could be groomed to become the next special teams return specialist for the Bulls.
#15 UB Football Game
September 23, 2000 - UB 20 - Bowling Green 17
Buffalo entered the game with no FBS wins and a 18-game losing streak, they seemed incapable of putting together a good start and a strong finish. UB got their good start when they drove 12 plays and 80 yards on their second drive ending with a Joe Freedy to Chad Bartoszek TD pass.
BGSU countered with two touchdowns, but Buffalo was able to counter before the end of the half with a three yard Freedy to Andre Forde TD pass. After a failed extra point, BGSU led 14-13 at the half. In the second half, BGSU extended their lead to 4, 17-13, but the UB defense shut down the Falcon attack, holding them to 75 yards in the second half.
With about four minutes remaining, the Bulls had their last chance to take the lead. UB drove 53 yards and with 90 seconds remaining, Marquis Duarte ran another 27 yards in for a touchdown and a 20-17 Bulls lead. The defense stayed strong, sacking Bowling Green twice on their final drive, including the game clinching sack on 4th down to give UB their first win as an FBS team and their first MAC win.
