Buffalo Bulls Olympic Sports - Third weekend of February

UB Athletics

Sorry this is a bit delayed this Friday, but fortunately there's no softball (and unfortunately, no Baseball now, either), so the only thing I'm late on is Women's Tennis.

Better yet, Tim made me a fancy new toy that I can use. It's a little more bulky, but hopefully a little easier to read than my past setups for these posts.

Of especial note this weekend is the last match of the year for Wrestling, who are banned from the postseason. They'll take on Northern Illinois tonight on ESPN3 at 7:00 PM. The Huskies have just one MAC win, so John tells me it's safe to be hopeful for a victory to end the season.

With Baseball cancelled due to the snow in Northern Virginia* and Swimming and Diving now off until the MAC Championships, UB's Tennis teams are carrying the weight for the rest of the suddenly slim weekend. Track and Field is also competing at Cornell in one last tune up before their MAC Championships.

*Don't snicker too much, I'm in DC right now and while it's not a ton of snow, there's enough on the ground and enough cold that there's no way baseball would be a good idea

Softball is not competing thanks to a scheduled off weekend.

A surprisingly light weekend for the Athletics Department. Maybe February and March won't be as nutso as I thought.

In terms of recaps, expect separate Men's and Women's Tennis ones, as well as a Track one. It's likely that at least one of those will wait to Sunday. I assume John will have a Wrestling recap up pretty quickly tonight, as per usual.

Go Bulls!
