For the second year in a row we can all site down and pretend that there is a real playoff in the College world. Last season the Big 12, in addition to the "Group of five" was left out. This year it's the PAC 12 who are not represented among the top four teams in college football.
It's not a true playoff but it's better than the BCS and there should be some good football to watch.
Alabama lost in last quarterfinals final to Ohio State. This season the tide will try to bury the Big Ten's CFP representative in the early rounds. Michigan State made their way with a final drive comeback win against Iowa in the Big Ten Championship.
Before that though number one Clemson takes on Oklahoma. Oklahoma saved the Big 12's bacon this year. The conference spent most of the season looking like they might miss out but the Sooners overcame an early season loss and the lack of a Championship game.
