It was a pretty rough week for the Bulls working their way through the minor league farm systems. There were a few highlights here and there but on the whole it was not a banner week.
Tom Murphy still has not returned to action for the AA Tulsa Drillers. Murphy suffered a shoulder injury earlier this season and although he is on the mend there is no telling when he will be active again.
Steve Geltz suffered his fort loss of the season. He gave up on critical run against Charlotte which ended up costing his team the game.
Jason Kanzler was promoted to high A ball and sent to Fort Meyers. His first few games were spectacular outings but in the second series of the week Kanzler came back down to Earth. Going 0-8 over the course of two games.
Tyler Mautner played a similar tune last week. With a few solid games to lead things off before going ice cold later in the week. He is 0 for his last 11 at bats.
Mike Burke may own the best week, and he only pitched for one inning. His showing against the Gulf Coast Red Sox was enough to earn his first professional win.
