Buffalo Bulls Spring Football Roster - New Players

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

UB Kicks off sping ball today and there are already two new faces on the roster from this past seasons recruiting class.

Juwan Jackson was listed last year as a strong safety but has landed on UB's roster as a linebacker. At six foot four inches tall and 215 pounds Jackson seemed a bit large for a defensive back but he has the quickness to grow, perhaps, into a "drop linebacker" in Lou Tepers scheme.

The other new face is Matt Murphy, a Freshman who come to UB in January from the IMG academy in Florida.

IMG Academy is a private athletic training institute for youth, high school, collegiate and professional athletes located in Bradenton, Florida. IMG Academy attracts more than 12,000 athletes from approximately 80 countries every year, Murphy came to IMG from London England and said of IMG ""It’s really great here. It’s perfect here for any athlete to improve."

UB still has the line which finished last season wholly in tact so at this point it could be that the 6-7, 245 pound Murphy may be playing for depth at this point.
