Guys and gals, 2014 was a pretty good year for UB sports. I'm sure you're all super busy tonight (I'm not), so I'll keep the intro brief. This post is an incomplete list of the various records and program firsts set by UB teams and student-athletes in 2014.
I thought about highlighting Top Ten or Top Five marks, as well, but that would truthfully be far too ambitious an undertaking. As it stands, you should prepare to be completely overwhelmed by pure, wonderful data, because I count 165 school records and program firsts this year, and goodness knows I've missed some. Notably, I know few academic records, and I'm sure things are going well there.
We of course owe a huge "thank you" to the Athletic Communications staff - Jon Fuller, Louie Spina, Brian Wolff, Anna Cooper, and Joe Kepler, now at South Carolina - for their work, which includes the yearly media guides and record books from which I accumulated this list.
The list begins now.
