NCAA Baseball Buffalo Travels to Western Michigan

Don't let Western Michigan's record fool you, the Bronco's played a rather difficult out of conference schedule and have hit their stride over the past month. Last weekend the Bronco's swept Bowling Green to open up MAC play and on Tuesday they followed up by putting down Michigan of the Big Ten.

They also owe UB one for the unexpected early exit they were handed in last seasons MAC Baseball Championship.

After getting though the hard part of their schedule, in which they hit well under 240, the Broncos' bats have come alive. WMU is hitting .295 over the last five games and have scored 36 runs. Andrew Sohnis batting 380 on the year putting him near the top 100 or so hitters in the country.

The main threats at the mound for WMU are Patrick Borlik and Mike Moyer who are each have RPI's well under three.

Buffalo is trying to bounce back after letting Canisius creep back into a game the Bulls seemed to have in hand. UB's starters have been playing very well of late but the teams Bull Pen has struggled. The Bats have been consistent led by Jason Kanzler who entered the week with six home runs and 28 RBI's. Those numbers put him in the top 25 nationally among division one players.
