Nobody can say that Danny White has shown no hesitation on making his mark on UB Athletics. In his short time here, the young Athletic Director has not just talked the talk, but walked the walk in implementing the New York Bulls Initiative in both the public eye and on the playing field.
Under White UB has seen coaching turnover in almost half its Athletic Department. For the men, there are new coaches in Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling, and the ladies have new leadership in Basketball, Rowing, Tennis, and Softball.
All I can say is Thank Goodness for Vicki Mitchell.
News today from the Twitterverse suggest White is at it again. Marcanthony Harrison (@MVanHarrison) is reporting that he can confirm the dismissal of Women's Soccer Coach Michael Thomas. I don't believe that Harrison is affiliated with any press, but he is one of the more active UB tweeters out there, and is rarely wrong.

I expect we'll hear official word from UB this evening or early tomorrow.
Coach Thomas's Women's Soccer team finished the 2013 season 6-9-3 with a 3-7-1 MAC record, perhaps suffering from a bit of bad luck, as UB actually outshot its opponents over 18 games this season and had a higher Shots on Goal %.
However, Thomas clearly did not have the cache with White to survive a down season in a year when the Media Guide proclaimed the team's depth and experience, as he finishes his 6 year run as UB coach with only one winning season to his name, a 12-5-4 campaign in 2011 that improved by 11 wins over the previous year and suggested the Bulls had turned the corner.
Coach Thomas had a 31-67-16 overall record as UB's coach.
