Welcome Stu Riddle - Buffalo hires a new Men's Soccer coach

Stu Riddle was plucked from Kalamazoo and will replace two year interim head coach David Hesch. His last two seasons with the Western Michigan Broncos Riddle brought the teams to the MAC Championship game. At Buffalo he is taking over a team that has not had a winning season since 2008.

His four years as head coach of Western Michigan was a rebuild job which proved his abilities as a game day coach and as a solid recruiter. In 2011 Riddle plucked two top 50 national recruits.

"Stu Riddle built a MAC championship contender at Western Michigan and I am confident that, with the resources we have at UB, he can take our program to new heights. We are excited to welcome the addition of the Riddle family to lead our men’s soccer program. Stu’s proven leadership will undoubtedly help us as we passionately pursue the vast potential of UB Athletics." - Danny White

Riddle played at Coastal Carolina and coached in the MAAC. HE was on the staff that guided Fairfield University to a 2008 NCAA Tournament.

This is an easy hire to like. We take a head coach that has produced one of the best programs in the MAC and pluck him from the state of Michigan. I'm not sure what WMU's facilities are like but it's a pretty safe assumption that it was not the sweet digs at UB which brought Riddle.

That means either director white rolled up the wheelbarrow full of cash or the mystery slide show that director white is showing big money donors shows a very improved department coming in a few years.
