Last seasons stomping of Akron gave UB fans a chance to see a lot of players who would have otherwise not played last year. Among those players was Jake Silas. The offensive lineman from Portland Michigan, and all Capitol District player on both offense and defense played in his first game as a Bull when the game was well in hand.
Before coming to Buffalo Silas was accomplished enough to make the roster for Michigan's East-West game in Michigan this past weekend as well. The 2010 commitment used a red shirt in his first season, and was mainly used for depth on the scout team in 2011.
This season Silas came out of spring behind Gokhan Ozkan on the right side of the line which is where he was towards the latter part of last season.
