Post Mortem Music: Money For Nothing!

Mark L. Baer-US PRESSWIRE
Now look at that yo-yo, that's the way you do it
You call the draw on third and 23
That ain't workin', that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and your extensions for free
Now that ain't workin', that's the way you do it
Lemme tell ya, that guy ain't dumb
Maybe get another 8 loss season for fans to linger
Maybe get another call that seems dumb

Appropriately the band "Dire Straits" brings us inspiration for this weeks post mortem music, because given what just happened UB is seemingly facing some of their own.

The first problem could be Licata. The Freshman looked good against the terrible passing defenses of Miami, Western Michigan, and UMass but looked very Zordich like today against Bowling Green (minus Alex Zordich's ability to run). Joe Licata could have put an exclamation point on his claim to the throne.

But the poor performance by Licata means things are wide open this spring.

The second problem might be Danny White. White just gave Quinn a fat contract extension which means the UB coach, who has 9 FBS wins in three seasons, will have until at least 2017 to complete his building process.

In fairness to Quinn this UB team is easily the best overall team that Buffalo has had under his tenure so maybe things are moving the right way, albeit at a slow pace. I've had several fans of other MAC schools say they see Buffalo as a threat next season and as being the deepest they have seen since 2008.
