The premise is simple: when we win, I praise our heroes, when we lose I criticize our goats. Take any praise in stride, lest we get a big head. Take any criticism with a grain of salt, this is how we learn.
3)The Satyr: Head Coach Jeff Quinn - In UB's FBS history, we have had only 7 win streaks. 6 of the streaks were against two FBS teams, and 4 were against 2 MAC opponents.
The first two-game win streak was courtesy of Jim Hofher, Who defeated Ohio and Army in November of 2001.
The next 5 came from the Gill era, he rode a 5 game winning streak to the MAC Championship in 2008 and won back to back games 4 other times in his tenure, including the last winning streak in UB history, beating Miami and Kent on 11/18 and 11/27/2009.
1,079 days later, we have a win streak again.
2) The Price: Devin Campbell - If I have to name a season MVP, I'm giving it to "the Fresh Prince" The freshman has stepped up and plugged holes in our team in the Offense and Special Teams. Campbell got Buffalo going with a 45 yard touchdown and finished with 107 yards before going out on injury.
Next year we could have 4 dynamic runners on our roster. Branden Oliver, Alex Zordich, Devin Campbell and James Potts. Quinn has been in favor of playing one guy and only one guy, he should reconsider that strategy for 2013.
1) The Doppleganger: Cortney Lester - The Florida Sophomore is playing like Mike Newton. When the Tepper defense looks like it's going to break, for the past month it's been Lester making the bailout play to keep UB in the game. He had 3 interceptions, and brings his total to 4 on the year 50% of all UB interceptions on the year.
