Inge Chosen To Be Part of NCAA Champion Forum - Buffalo Athletics

University at Buffalo defensive coordinator William Inge is one of seven Division I assistant football coaches and athletic directors from across the nation taking part in the NCAA's 2011 Champion Forum this weekend in Orlando, FL. The event is being held in conjunction with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) convention.

My Thoughts:

Many consider the Champion Forum as a place where up and coming assistant coaches get invited. The defense was the only highlight of last season. Making the transition from a 4-3 to a 3-4 could have gone far worse than it did. When a new scheme keeps you in games that your offense is trying to give away people take notice.

Of course this season will be the real test for coach Inge who lost just about every member of the best all around backfield in the MAC. If the D plays as well this year as last I would not be amazed to see his name start to pop up for open jobs in November / December.
