Women's Swimming and Diving falls at Miami

Bulls win seven of 16 events but beaten by Miami's depth.

UB Athletics

Like it or not, last week's dominant win over Ball State wasn't a true test of UB Women's Swimming and Diving's status within the MAC. This afternoon's road meet at Miami serves as a better barometer, and the Bulls were undone in part by a lack of depth in their 170.5-129.5 loss.

UB won seven and took second in nine of 16 events to in theory stay close to the RedHawks, but took 21 combined third or fourth place finishes to pull away from the Bulls.

Buffalo dominated the freestyle, as we've come to expect, and had a strong day in the butterfly, as well. Megan Burns and Jess Powers combined to sweep the individual freestyle events, each claiming multiple wins.
