JUCO Wide Receiver recruit Kamathi Holsey flips from Troy to Buffalo on National Signing Day

There haven't been too many surprises for Buffalo Bulls fans this morning on National Signing Day, but among a few new names in the class is Independence CC wide receiver Kamathi Holsey, who announced on Twitter that he would be signing with Buffalo over a three week old commit to Troy.

At Independence this season Holsey pulled in 39 catches for 602 yards and 7 touchdowns. At 6-4, 210, he's a bigger bodied receiver who reports a 4.4 40 on his hudl page. Those kinds of measurables can do a ton of damage in the MAC, and you'll see in his tape a guy that likes to stretch the field but can also make plays in tighter coverage.

In addition to Troy and offers from Delaware State and North Carolina Center, Holsey reported interest from Colorado State and Minnesota. He joins Jordan Overton as wide receivers in this year's class.

UPDATE: An earlier headline for this piece credited Rob Ianello with Holsey's recruitment, which I assumed because Holsey is a wide receiver. We've since been informed it was DJ Vokolek on Kamathi.
