Two bulls took the field Thursday night in NFL preseason action. In the Seattle versus Dallas game, Buffalo fans could tune in to watch Dallas cornerback Josh Thomas and Seattle guard Kristjan Sokoli. Both players are fighting for a spot on their respective rosters.
Thomas came into the evening as a player that many believed would make the roster as a depth cornerback. He had not really distinguished himself this preseason but had avoided the big mistakes which can land a guy in the coaches dog house.
Tonight there were three plays in which Thomas was a factor and one of those could hurt his chances of making the team.
Twice in the third quarter, Thomas brought down C. J. Prosise after he got past the defensive line. He had gains of five and eight yards on those plays.
Unfortunately for Thomas, the one that is going to stick in most some peoples minds is a play very late in the third when Thomas took a bad line at Trevone Boykin and as a result, Boykin managed a 16-yard touchdown run.
He was able to come in unblocked on a corner blitz but he let Boykin get outside of him. Here is the play:

Across the field Sokoli saw little or no time on the field. I missed the later stages of the game and I'm starting to see Seattle 75 man roster projections which leave Sokoli out. The date for the 75 man cut is September 1st
