Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball kept their record clean on Wednesday at Alumni Arena when they routed Dartmouth, 110-71. The win is impressive considering that CJ Massinburg sat the game out due to a minor knee injury.
The game started with a steam-rolling effort by the Bulls. UB jumped out to a 15-0 lead fueled by three-point shots from Montell McRae and Jeremy Harris.
Although the night pretty much went entirely in the Bulls’ favor, Dartmouth did make a comeback against UB to make it 28-25 Buffalo with ten to go in the first half. UB just couldn’t contain from beyond the arc.
But the Big Green were unable to do a lot of damage after getting in striking distance. Buffalo pulled away as the half progressed with Jayvon Graves and Davonta Jordan turning up the heat on offense.
With a 55-39 edge at the beginning of the second, UB never eased off of the gas pedal. Dartmouth clearly appeared gassed against the Bulls’ blistering pace and had trouble finding quality shots. To more than cap off the effort, Buffalo broke the century mark with over five minutes in the game.
Nick Perkins led the Bulls in scoring with 18 point and made it a double-double effort with 10 rebounds. He also had three blocks to add to his stat line.
The duo of Graves and Jordan also tore up the box score. Both had 16 points each and combined for 10 of UB’s 26 assists.
Men’s basketball returns to Alumni Arena on Saturday for a matchup with Marist at 2:00 p.m. It’ll be their last game before they head to Ireland for the Belfast Hall of Fame Classic.
