Chibueze Onwuka transfers to Boston College

Early last month UB defensive lineman Chibueze Onwuka entered the transfer portal and this week he announced he is going to Boston College next season.

Onwuka was a JUCO transfer who has played in 36 games for the Bulls

This past year, as a starter, he was honored by being named third team all MAC after started every game, in which he racked up 43 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Onwuka was a very effective part of a suffocating Buffalo defense that seemed poised to return most of it’s dominant front seven. That talent took the Bulls to their first ever Bowl Win.

If Chibueze transfers it’s a big hit to the defense. He was backed up this season by Ronald McGee, who saw action in all 13 games.
