The mens 2020 roster took a bit of a hit with the announcement that Josiah Freeman has been released from the team per his request.
Freeman signed a national letter of intent during the fall but has decided to reopen his options.
Josiah “JoJo” Freeman is a skilled three level scorer in a 6’4” frame. He played his prep ball at one of the most talented high school teams in the country, Paul VI Catholic, where he was the 4th highest rated player on his own high school team behind two four star players, and a five star player.
Freeman would have been the most polished high school scoring commit in recent UB history, not just talent but also a clean and developed game. It’s a bit loss of a player who could have had a quick impact for Jim Whitesell’s team.
