If you think Buffalo is a hard team to figure out, you should take a look at Miami.
Over the past several years Miami has become the “slow starter” of the MAC East division. Digging themselves a hole in out of conference and early MAC play but digging out late in teh season to play spoiler and make a Bowl.
At 1-3 this season the Redhawks look to be playing that script again. In fact they are going a step beyond this year. Rather than just play a Hyde and Jekyll Season, they are playing a Jekyll and Hyde script out in their games.
- In their 38-14 loss at #20 Iowa the RedHawks were down only three (10-7) at the half. But gave up 28 points in the second half, managing only a late touchdown of their own.
- Against their instate rival Cincinnati, Miami trailed only by four at the end of the half but then gave up 21 points in the third quarter to the Bearcats
- This past week against Ohio State Miami led 5-0 in the first and trailed only 7-5 after the first but gave up 42 points to Ohio State in the second quarter.
When the RedHawks start to play a full game they will be a dangerous team. Hopefully that waits until after this week ;)
