From the buyers of a pay day game to the recipients of a big fat check.
UB is 1-2 all time against Penn State, having beat Penn State at home in 1901 and losing in 2007 and 2015.
So here are the three questions for this weeks game:
1) Can we pass
Myers looked pretty good for a freshman throwing the ball, but there were two big problems
First is we only threw 10 times in a tune up game that should have been largely used to give him and the receivers reps, especially late in the game when it was a clear win.
Secondly other than a blown coverage or two UB’s receivers had a lot of trouble getting separation from the defensive backs. They will be facing a far better secondary this week.
2) Is our kicking game for real
I was very happy to see a situation where I wanted us to try a long field goal rather than punt. It’s been many years since we had a place kicker who we had confidence in.
It’s early in the year but things look good.
3) How will the coaches tighten up the running game
Watching RMU gash us on a couple of drives gives real concern not just for PSU but for the season as a whole.
