Nick Perkins and Jeremy Harris put up 21 points each, and both players put in a double doubt as the Bulls opened their 2019 NCAA tournament with a solid 91-74 win over Arizona.
It took UB about 5 minutes to shake off the rust from a 6 day rest but with the game tied 14-14 UB found their footing and kept their foot on the gas the whole way. While their offense was consistent and fast the 3 point defense of the Bulls kept Arizona to 3-22 and really prevented Bobby Hurley’s squad from mounting any kind of come back.
Buffalo is advancing to the round of 32 for the second year in a row. Their offense is going to be tested by a fantastic Texas Tech defense. If the Bulls want to see the sweet 16 they are going to have to put up points on a team that only let two teams this year score more than 70 points.
