So UB’s loss to Kent earlier in the week was somewhat softened by a Bowling Green victory over the Flashes. The Bulls are three games out in front of Kent and Miami in the East and a one game lead, along with a tie breaker, over Toledo for the conference title.

With eight games to play the Bulls are four games ahead of the teams playing campus rounds, making the magic number to a bye 4 games.

Buffalo would get the winner of the EMU / CMU campus game, played at Eastern Michigan because of the head to head tie breaker.

We are also “on the same side of the bracket” as Kent, the only team to beat the Bulls in conference play this season.
