News broke today on a piece of Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball’s out of conference schedule. The Bulls will be playing the Cincinnati Bearcats in the opening round of the Cayman Islands classic at 7:30 p.m. EST on November 20.
The Bearcats are coming off of an incredibly successful season at 30-6 and finished #18 in the national Associated Press rankings under head coach Mick Cronin. Cincinnati is expected to be a borderline top-ten team this upcoming season after losing just a few minor pieces to graduation.
Below is the full bracket for the event:
Interestingly enough, there is a very real chance for Buffalo to play against 2005 MAC player of the year Turner Battle. Battle is currently an assistant coach for UAB, a team on the same side of the bracket as the Bulls.
Regardless, this tournament field is shaping up to be a good one for UB’s non-conference schedule and hopefully the Bulls can get a huge win over the Bearcats and make some early noise.
