Branden Oliver leaves San Diego-Minnesota game with an apparent Achilles Injury

Update -  2:24 CST - Initial reports is that it's a torn achillies tendon.

Update - 4:10 CST - Reports are that Oliver's season is over

Late in the second quarter of Sunday afternoon's NFL preseason game between the San Diego Chargers and the Minnesota Vikings, running back Branden Oliver went down with an apparent achilles injury.

Oliver was an undrafted free agent player picked up by San Diego as a camp body. Oliver impressed in camp and played well in the preseason and earned one of the last slots on the Chargers' 2014 roster.

Oliver was then thrust into the starting roster by injuries and played several impressive games. Last year he was expected to be a big part of the Chargers' attack as the second or third back until a turf toe injury ended his season.

This year some plays were put into the playbook to take advantage of Oliver but it seems, once again, his season will be cut short.

Oliver was running the ball when it looks like his achilles gave out.

Bull Run will update this post with details as they come out.
