UB hosted big four rival Saint Bonaventure hoping to sake off their last two games against NIU. But the Bonnies came ready to play and put down the Bulls by a score of
Brandon Mumaw pitched well through the first two and two thirds innings but in the third he was tagged for three runs before the third was over and then they added two more in the fourth inning to make the score 5-0 by the middle of the game.
Buffalo finally got on the board in the bottom of the 5th inning. Ben Vey got hit by a pitch to start the inning and then nearly scored on a Kyle Brennan double but was caught by a great throw to the plate from Saint Bonaventure's short stop. A couple of batters later Bobby Shepard brought Brennan in with a single to center field.
5-1 is as close as the Bulls would get. The Bonnies added one in the 7th off of Mumaw before UB brought in Logan Harasta.
In the eight UB managed to load the bases but walked away with no runs and were shut out in the 9th.
