Drew Willy

I saw a great tweet this week. It went something like this.

You can bring in the best offensive linemen of all time but if you don't give them a coach who can draw up a protection scheme you're boned.

The Ti-Cats had their way with the Bombers offensive line...

Davis downplayed his accomplishment, saying he was the recipient of a Hamilton pass rush that made life miserable for Winnipeg quarterbacks, registering seven sacks. Defensive lineman Justin Hickman led the way with three.

And once again Drew Willy was knocked out of a game.

And this time he may be done for the year.

Willy sidelined 6-8 weeks with injured right knee | CFL.ca | Official Site of the Canadian Football League
"After consulting with team medical personnel over the last 24 hours, it has been determined quarterback Drew Willy suffered a tibial plateau fracture, as well as a partial PCL tear in his right knee, during the club’s game in Hamilton on Sunday. The estimated earliest recovery time for this injury is 6-8 weeks."

The CFL runs a 20 week season so Drew might be back before the year is over.

Ernest Jackson

EJ and Ottawa are perhaps a UB fans best bet on fun TV until the college season starts in a couple of weeks. Last week he caught five passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. The REDBLACKS receiver is currently second in the CFL at nabbing touchdown passes.

Ottawa is locked in a three way tie with Natey Adjei's Toronto Argonauts, and the Willy Killer in Hamilton. All three teams sit atop the Eastern Division.

Natey Adjei

Adjei gets his first home start and has two catches including an 18 yard conversion. He is becoming a key guy for Toronto.

Jake Silas / Naaman Roosevelt

Both still seem set on their practice squads.
