For the first time in 2015, UB Track and Field finished a weekend without a new school record.
Slackers.
Even without one, the Bulls' final tune up before the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships was, top-to-bottom, their strongest showing yet. UB added nine further MAC auto-qualifiers into those championships, and saw 18 student-athletes earn top-three finishes against a field that included Syracuse, Cornell, and a host of smaller New York schools. Even ESF was there! ESF has, like, four and a half teams, and one of them is Timber Sports.
The closest UB came to a new school record was Emma Siuciak in the high jump. Just a week after her 1.78-meter jump set a new record by a single centimeter, Siuciak matched the old record with a jump of 1.77 before taking three shots at 1.84.
All over the results sheet, though, UB is setting personal bests with still a few weeks to go before the conference championships. UB hit autoqualifiers for that meet in six new events:
Chris Reape, High Jump
Austin Price, Triple Jump
Tyra Forbes, Long Jump
Kaishaun Cathey, Triple Jump
Brian Cummiskey, 60 meter dash
Corinne Birchard, 800 meter run

There's no downtime in the schedule; the two-day MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships start this coming Friday. Central Michigan is hosting the meet. By my count, UB has hit 30 different auto qualifiers for the meet, and will obviously have more entries, as well.
Go Bulls!
