This Week in Bull: Week of September 1

Matt Gritzmacher

A couple weekends in the books and all but two of UB's fall sports teams has opened competition. In September, most of the competition comes on the weekends, but we'll always keep you up to date on the week ahead on Sunday nights.

This Week in Bull:

Men's Soccer, coming off this weekend's season-opening trip to Southern California, will celebrate their home opener with a Friday match against Bryant, at 7:00 PM in UB Stadium, and take on Bucknell on Sunday, at 1:00 PM, again at UB Stadium. I'll definitely be at Friday's game, and will likely make it over Sunday, as well.

Women's Soccer will look to continue their shutout streak, at four games and counting, as they play a single game this weekend on Sunday evening, when they travel up north to Niagara for a 7:00 match.

Volleyball begins a stretch of three straight weekends on the road, heading to the USF Tournament in Florida. They'll play three matches over two days, taking on USF at 2:00 PM on Friday, FIU at 11:00 AM on Saturday, and South Carolina at 2:00 PM on Saturday.

Cross Country will host their own invitational meet, the UB Stampede, on Saturday after spending this past weekend in Pittsburgh. Gun time for the men is at 12:00 noon, and for the women 12:45 at Beaver Island State Park.

Men's Tennis kicks off their season, as they'll head to Binghamton for the weekend.

Rowing and Women's Tennis will wait a little longer to pick up competition.

Go Bulls!
