Know your Bulls is a countdown to the kick off. If will look at every single UB football player on the roster. When the players number matches the number of days remaining then it's his turn in the spotlight.
Position: Linebacker
From: Dayton, OH
Started all 12 games last season
Lee Skinner was the "feel good story" of last seasons defense. Skinner walked on in 2010, after not getting a division one scholarship offer Skinner bumped into Coach Jeff Quinn at a high school wrestling championship. Eventually there was room on the Buffalo Squad and Skinner saw an in.
After one season bulking up Skinner looked to back up John Syty in 2011. Then, after a concussion, Syty had to give up the game.
Skinner made September a month to remember. He racked up 31 tackles in the first month. He finished the season with 80 which was second on the team and the most of any returning player.
Coming out of the spring Skinner kept his spot with the first team but has switched sides from right to left, he will be playing next to Khalil Mack and behind Steven Means.
