Another day another honor for UB Running Back Branden Oliver. Just one day after being named to the Doak Walker list Oliver finds himself on the Walter Camp list. The Award is given annually to the collegiate American football Player of the Year, as decided by a group of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I-A head coaches and sports information directors. The award is named for Walter Camp.
This marks the third preseason watch list that Oliver has made, with the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award watch lists honors coming over the past 11 days.
Oliver is joined by one other Mid American conference player, Alex Carder, quarterback from Western Michigan.
The watch list will be narrowed to 10 semi-finalists in mid-November and the winner will be announced live on ESPN SportsCenter on Thursday, December 6. The winner will then receive his trophy at the Foundation's annual national awards banquet on January 12, 2013 at the Yale University Commons in New Haven.
