Talking Bull: You can only push things so far

You can only push people so far!

Mike Kramer, Idaho State Bengals football coach, suspended one game for pushing Derek Graves - ESPN
Idaho State University has suspended football coach Mike Kramer for Saturday's game against Montana for pushing one of his players to the ground in a recent practice.

Coach Kramer, Bobby Knight called.... He wants his shtick back. I know being in the cellar of the big sky is enough to stress you out but you can't really push the young men you coach. Even if you got away with it you're not going to see results.

You can only push dates so far!

Oregon Ducks, Ohio State Buckeyes to play home-and-home series in 2020-21 - ESPN
Ohio State has made a concerted effort to beef up its future nonconference schedules. Tuesday's announcement comes on the heels of recent agreements to play home-and-home series with TCU (2018 and 2019) and Texas (2022 and 2023).

Lets put that in perspective... Ohio is now scheduling games three presidential election cycles out! One one hand you gotta like the feeling, on the other you can't guarantee you'll "Beef up" your schedule by scheduling to play a 2012 power ten years later.

You can only push the WAC so far (then it dies)

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in talks with Big East, Mountain West and Sun Belt for future games - CBSSports.com
When the Western Athletic Conference ceases to compete as an FBS conference after the 2012 season, one of the fallouts will be its bid in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The bowl executives have no plans of discontinuing the game, so now there is an open spot opposite a representative from the Mid-American Conference.

And when it dies what happens to it's bowl tie ins? The nightmare scenario here is that both the Big East and MWC show interest. With Boise in the Big East and the geography of the Mountain West it could mean the MAC might lose a bowl.

You can only push UB Hockey fans so far!

Benner’s career weekend keeps winning streak alive - Sports - The Spectrum - University at Buffalo
Junior forward Timothy Benner led the team this weekend with a combined five goals in two games, posting his first hat trick on Friday night followed by two goals on Saturday.

With UB dragging and dragging and dragging their heels on Hockey it seems the Schools ACHA team (non scholarship not affiliated with the Athletic Department) has decided to take on the mission of being as big as some of the scholarship sports.

Hockey home games are now broadcast live on WRUB with post game parties at the club above the rink. You can also watch home games for a fee through fasthockey. The team has also improved their coverage both on their website and by lending out Tim Benner to do some write ups here.

Throw in the fact they are 9-1, and undefeated in conference play, and there is the makings for a solid fan base to develop.

You can only push around money so far! (before they name something after you)

Congrats Brook!
