While there was a lot of chatter about UB being in discussions about moving back to division one the current Ice Bulls, and ACHA squad, was prepping for their season opener against Kent State at the North Tows Center.

Unfortunately for the Bulls Kent State walked away with a 2-1 win.

Buffalo's lone goal came from Tim Benner. Benner scored with the assist going to Matt Ganci and Craig Meany.

The goal tied the game at one and it would stay that way until 7:31 of the third period That's when Kent State Freshman forward Ryan Bauman put UB Away.

The same two teams face off again tonight.
